Anniversary weekend

Five years ago I married the man of my dreams. Each year we go back to the place where we were married to celebrate. We book "our" room, it's the only one we will ever stay in. It's a quaint bed and breakfast with beautiful gardens and fountain, a place where time stands still. We have agreed that it is really the only place we look forward to going to where there's really not much to do, and yet we enjoy ourselves, immensely, year after year. For us, it's a great memory. A time for relaxation and rejuvenation. A time to reflect on where we've been and a time to plan and dream about where this journey will take us. It's good for us. It's good for our marriage. Each and every year I'm reminded that in our '60-year contract' I failed to read the fine print. One of us has renewal options. One of us doesn't. Five down, fifty-five to go!! And by the way, he's still the man of my dreams.
